New Website

Currently, over the past 3 days I have been planning, designing and creating a totally new website. What is interesting to me this time around is that I have decided to create it from scratch rather than going for a pre-made theme or blog which are both options that I have used before.

Not that there is anything wrong with using templates or a blog, they are both very good solutions to the problem of getting your work on-line and easily viewable, but every time that I have gone about using them I have never been satisfied and began tweaking the themes to how I want them but it is still never quite right. That taught me some of the basics of HTML and CSS by editing other peoples work, but I have decided to go it alone this time.

I spent the first day mainly in photoshop, messing around and eventually forming a layout and design plus colour scheme I was happy with. Then when it came to dreamweaver I realised editing and writing are two different things, but I persevered and learnt things as I went on and would even say I have a decent enough knowledge to do it know again without any complications.

Welcome to my new work blog.

As I am working on various projects, I plan to keep this blog updated regulary with updates on the stages that the work will progress. My main website is more of a showcase for final images and work, but the aim of this blog is to show raw work in progress and how what I'm currently working on.
